As a nurse, I got stuck by a dirty needle and consequently ,I contracted HepatitisC. It took 20 years to destroy my liver and I had no symptoms until later in life. I became very ill due to a failing liver. I saw a Hematologist at University of MD and was eventually placed in a transplant list. When I got the call, I was scared! Being a nurse,I knew I could end up on a ventilator. So I told the Dr that I didn’t want the liver! Thank God! I had a Doctor who was a man of faith. He told me this opportunity may not come again for a long time or it may never come again. He would not accept my answer but told me to pray about it, which I did. I felt led by God to take a leap of faith .I called the Dr. back and told him yes. The transplant happened in 2003. Today,I remain healthy and my liver enzymes are perfectly normal! There were many complications. I had to go back several times due to bleeding and coded 4 times. I was unconscious for 2 months and on ventilator .I had Dialysis due to kidney failure . but God was always present! I had 3 months of intensive physical therapy to relearn how to walk and use my arms and feed myself! God is so so good! Sheila Whitaker

Thank you so much for sharing.
I love this faith story! God wants our worship and faith. He wants to heal and be glorified!
I think of Exodus 15: 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.
I am so thankful for Mark 2: 8-10 where Jesus not only heals the paralytic man but forgives his sins! The power to heal spiritually is more everlasting than his healing physically.Joni Erickson Tada (quadriplegic)speaks often that while she has not been healed physically, that her continual spiritual renewal gets her through every day physically.
