Jennifer’s Story

My home is in MD but I bought a beach home in Myrtle Beach, which means I travel the road a lot. I follow a church on line and listen to messages. On one of my trips, I called the Pastor to share that I enjoyed his sermon. He discussed with me my salvation experience. I shared with him my infant baptism and baptism at marriage but that I was only 98 % sure that I believed. He helped me to realize I had to believe 100% in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord! Just then I looked over at the side of the road and there was a huge billboard that read “Jesus is Lord”. That could not have been coincidence God showed me that billboard! Hallelujah

  1. Romans 10:9-10. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Believing and confessing leads to repentance of sin and surrendering 100 per cent to Jesus!

  2. Our enemy will always try to make you doubt what you believe. Just as Jesus refuted his attacked when He was being tempted, He used the Word of God. I have found when people begin to doubt their salvation, (a common attack from Satan) I encourage them to combat it with God’s Word.
John 5:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
And 1 John 5:11-13 (NKJV) 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

I encourage them to memorize them and repeat it over and over again and thank the Lord for His salvation. And then when the attack comes, just quote it out loud.
James 4:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you

  3. Thank you for sharing the counsel right from God’s Word. I have heard that Satan cannot read our thoughts but he can hear our words. If we speak the Word of God aloud , he will leave. He cannot stand to hear our God be praised!
